Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Think it is about that time seen as it is 8 weeks away today.

So far I have the following:-

Apples Shakira for the Triumph at 16s.
Road to Respect for the GC at 25s.
Min for the Champion Chase at 10s.
Terrefort (NRNB) for the JLT at 16s

I am also going to be backing Good Boy Bobby at 14s NRNB for the Bumper in the next few days.

Anyone else?

And who is going?

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
To be honest I have never known a more open Cheltenham market with everything is so up in the air...lot of big guns missing...

Ones I will be keeping an eye on...

Paul Nicholls 2 Politilogue and Black Corton
Willoughby Court
Yanworth
B' D'Air in the Champ Hurdle
Sam Spinner in the World Hurdle or whatever it's called now...
Footpad wherever he goes...

Also impressed by a youngster called Sussex Ranger... looked a good prospect last time out... and Nicky Henderson's William Henry won me a few beans on saturday he looked a real improver... still very early days yet

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Oh and agree with Miike regarding Apple Jade... shoe in she will probably go the Quevega route and dominate the Mares Hurdle... well unless Faugheen does not make the CH that is

Takashi Miike 5:23 Tue Jan 16
Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
if I was Mullins I'd run her in the world hurdle, she'd piss it

AE

Hopefully some new stars will be born!!

At the mo can see the following

Apples Jade in Mares
Footpad in Arkle
Samcro in the Ballymore (Neptune)

Sussex Ranger will probably go in the Triumph. I got 20s on him NRNB with Hills. My cover bet for Apples Shakira.

Some of the horses Good Boy Bobby beat are out in the next few days, be interesting to see if any of them come up trumps.

Morning All
I will be going Tues, Weds and Thurs as per the norm. Also keeping with tradition I have been severely burnt on my ante post bets!

Was backing Uknowwhatimeanharry in the stayers since March so I have £200 at 6/1...Now about 14/!

Got a load of other rubbish too!

Been following the racing a lot over the last couple of months and my personal opinion is the following - hope it helps;

Supreme - Completely up in the air , the run of Getabird was impressive last week but how many times have we seen a short priced Mullins favourite turned over in the 1st! so I will be looking for some value here.

Ankle - Footpad has been the most impressive animal I have seen this year , surprised it isn't odds on

Champ - One horse race and Buveur Dair is in a league of its own

Mares - One horse race and Apples jade is in a league of its own.....if they run her here.....(stayers NRNB is worth a look gents)

Baltimore - SAMCRO this is a machine and next big thing !!!

Champ Chase - Up in the air this one as I get the suspicion that Altior won't run and therefore becomes a low quality race, not convinced by politilogues jumping so would look for some value here.

RSA - No Idea , thought Willoughby court but now not convinced she will run in this.

Ryanair - NAP if ground is soft or worse - UN DE SCEUX, simply better class than everything else and still backable at the price! but you are hoping for rain

Triumph Hurdle - Has to be Apple Shakira , it has been really impressive and again still very backable at 4/1 , Jonthehammer has done very well sitting on 16/1s

Gold Cup - Would suggest that Sizing John is the price at 7/1 , simply had a bad day last time out and sure they will get him right for cheltenham

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Anyone know the latest on Native River?? Thought he was meant to have a run out at Christmas?? Be interesting to see him in the GC mix....

Same with Un de Sceaux.... Ryanain or Champ Chase??

One that has caught my eye at a price is My Tent or Yours at 16's... got to be worth a e/w at that price... finally got his head in front fora Gr 1 last time and never finsihes out of the top 3...

I’m going to the Festival for the first time this year for the Gold Cup. Thought I should tick it off my bucket list.
Going with Busheyhammer85 so should be a great day. We already buzzing for it!
As we’re going on the Friday I’ve been looking at the races on that day. I fancy Espoir Dallen in the Triumph and Burning Ambition in the Fox Hunters along with Might Bite in the Gold Cup.
I've also had a small ante post e/w lucky 15 on the following (NRNB);
Faugheen - Champion Hurdle (won't run if they think he's not 100%)
Yorkhill - Champion Chase
Coney Island - Ryanair Chase (from a blog by Ruby on Paddy Power site)
Apples Jade - Stayers Hurdle (from a blog by Ruby on Paddy Power site)

Un De Ceux definitely the Ryanair..

Native River a goo beach way bet for the GC as is Minella Rocco.
They expect Native to run early Feb I think

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Flannel agree on Un De sceux for Ryanair, had Coney Island as a bit more value.

Supreme - Agree, I am looking for alternatives

Arkle - Agree

Champ - Agree, I am looking for EW alternatives

Mares Agree

Ballymore - Agree

Champ Chase - Altior wins if he runs

RSA - Not picked anything yet

Ryanair - See above

Triumph - Very happy with my 16s. Backed a minute before she won at Cheltenham, gut feeling she was very decent

GC - Might Bite for me so far but not counting out SJ
